How to have an adjective right in front of the noun
Step 1: Drop the λ€ [da]. ν¬λ€ [keu-da] big β ν¬ [keu]
Step 2: Add -μ [eun] / -γ΄ [n]. ν¬ [keu] β ν° [keun]
When the adjective stem ends in a CONSONANT sound,
we use -μ [eun]
- μ- [jak-]
When the adjective stem ends in a VOWEL sound,
we use -γ΄ [n]
- ν¬- [keu-]
- μμ- [ye-ppeu-]
ν° κ°λ°©μ΄μμ. [keun ga-bang-i-e-yo]
It's a big bag.
- ν° [keun] means "big.."
- κ°λ°©μ΄μμ [ga-bang-i-e-yo] means "It's a bag."
- Literally means "big.., it's a bag"
μ€λ μμ κ°λ°©μ μ΄ κ±°μμ. [o-neul ja-geun ga-bang-eul sal geo-ye-yo]
I'm going to buy a small bag today.
- μ€λ [o-neul] means "today"
- μμ κ°λ°© [ja-geun ga-bang] means "small bag"
- μ΄ κ±°μμ [sal geo-ye-yo] means "I will buy it."
- Literally means "today, small bag, I will buy it"
μ€λ ν° λͺ¨μλ₯Ό μ΄ κ±°μμ. [o-neul keun mo-ja-reul sal geo-ye-yo]
I'm going to buy a big hat today.
- ν° λͺ¨μ [keun mo-ja] means "big hat"
- Literally means "today, big hat, I will buy it"
ν¬κ³ μμ κ°λ°© [keu-go ye-ppeun ga-bang]
big and pretty bag
- ν¬κ³ [keu-go] means "big and.."
- μμ κ°λ°© [ye-ppeun ga-bang] means "pretty bag"
