- ๊ณต๋ถ [gong-bu] means "study"
- ํ์ธ์ [ha-se-yo] means "please, do."
Steps to make infinitive verbs to a polite command
Step 1. Drop the ๋ค [da]
Step 2. If the word ends in a vowel sound add -์ธ์ [se-yo]
If the word does not end in a vowel sound add -(์ผ)์ธ์ [eu-se-yo]
Example for ์ธ์ [se-yo]
์ผ์ด๋๋ค [i-reo-na-da] to wake up
Step 1. Drop the ๋ค [da]
์ผ์ด๋๋ค [i-reo-na-da]
โ ์ผ์ด๋ [i-reo-na]
Step 2. Attach ์ธ์ [se-yo] or ์ผ์ธ์ [eu-se-yo]
์ผ์ด๋ [i-reo-na] end in แ
ก [a] (vowel sound),
you'll attach ์ธ์ [se-yo].
์ผ์ด๋๋ค [i-reo-na-da] โ ์ผ์ด๋์ธ์ [i-reo-na-se-yo]
Example for ์ผ์ธ์ [eu-se-yo]

Step 1. Drop the ๋ค [da]
์ฝ๋ค [ilk-da]

Step 2. Attach ์ธ์ [se-yo] or ์ผ์ธ์ [eu-se-yo]
์ฝ [ilk] does not end in a vowel sound,
you'll attach ์ผ์ธ์ [eu-se-yo].
