How to say one event causes another with -μ [seo]
Ex) Combine λ¨Έλ¦¬κ° μνμ [meo-ri-ga a-pa-yo] "I have a headache." and λͺ» κ°μ [mot ga-yo] "I can't go."
Step 1: Drop the μ [yo] from the first sentence.
λ¨Έλ¦¬κ° μνμ [meo-ri-ga a-pa-yo] β λ¨Έλ¦¬κ° μν [meo-ri-ga a-pa]
Step 2: Add -μ [seo] to the first sentence.
λ¨Έλ¦¬κ° μν [meo-ri-ga a-pa] β λ¨Έλ¦¬κ° μνμ [meo-ri-ga a-pa-seo]
Step 3: Add the final sentence.
λ¨Έλ¦¬κ° μνμ λͺ» κ°μ. [meo-ri-ga a-pa-seo mot ga-yo] I can't go because I have a headache.
λ¨Έλ¦¬κ° μνμ λͺ» κ°μ΄μ. [meo-ri-ga a-pa-seo mot ga-sseo-yo]
Because I had a headache, I couldn't go.
- λ¨Έλ¦¬κ° μνμ [meo-ri-ga a-pa-seo] means "because I have a headache,"
- λͺ» κ°μ΄μ [mot ga-sseo-yo] means "I couldn't go."
νΈμ΄λ€λ‘ 곡λΆν΄μ 빨리 λ°°μμ. [teu-i-da-ro gong-bu-hae-seo ppal-ri bae-wo-yo]
