How to form actions in progress forms:
- Step 1: Have the verb in its γ¦ form.
- Step 2: Add γγΎγ [imasu].
θ΄γγ¦γγΎγ [kiiteimasu]

-γ¦ [te] form of Group 1 verb whose root ends in 'ku':
- Example: θ΄γ [kiku]
- Step 1. Make it the polite form
- Step 2. Drop the -γΎγ [masu]
- Step 3. Drop the k sound before 'i'
- Step 4. Attach γ¦ [te]
γ³γΌγγΌγι£²γγ§γγΎγ [kΕhΔ« o nondeimasu]
I'm drinking coffee.
-γ¦ [te] form of Group 1 verb ends with 'nu', 'mu', or 'bu':
- Example: ι£²γ [nomu]
- Step 1. Drop the last syllable
- Step 2. Attach -γγ§ [nde]
θ‘γ£γ¦γγΎγ [itteimasu]
I'm going.
Group 1 verb whose last sound before the '-u' is a vowel (θ‘γ applies the same):
- Example: θ‘γ [iku]
- Step 1. Drop the last syllable
- Step 2. Attach γ£γ¦ [tte]
