What is your profession?

• 직업 [ji-geop] means “profession”
• 이 [-i] makes “직업 [ji-geop]” the subject of the sentence
• 뭐예요 [mwo-ye-yo] means “What is it?”
• Literally means “profession, what is it?”

“Your” is implied in 직업이 뭐예요?

______이에요/예요. [___i-e-yo/ye-yo]

• 학생이에요. [hak-saeng-i-e-yo]
  I’m a student.
• 가수예요. [ga-su-ye-yo]
  I’m a singer.

Remember to have 이에요 [i-e-yo] after a consonant sound and 예요 [ye-yo] after a vowel sound.

저는 [jeo-neun] is roughly translated to ‘as for me’
