Lesson

Use -고 [go] to describe a noun with two adjectives at once.
-고 [go] means "and"

Connecting 짧다 [jjalp-da] 'short' and 쉽다 [swip-da] 'easy'

Step 1: Drop the 다 [da] and attach 고 [go] for the first adjective.
짧다 [jjalp-da] → 짧고 [jjalp-go]

Step 2: Make the last adjective with the 아/어/해요 form.
쉽다 [swip-da] → 쉬워요 [swi-wo-yo]

짧고 쉬워요. [jjalp-go swi-wo-yo]
It's short and easy.

  • -고 [go] means "and"

이 가방 어때요? [i ga-bang eo-ttae-yo?]
What do you think of this bag?

  • 이 가방 [i ga-bang] means "this bag"
  • 어때요? [eo-ttae-yo?] means "how is it?"
  • Literally means "this bag, how is it?"

가방이 크고 예뻐요. [ga-bang-i keu-go ye-ppeo-yo]
The bag is big and pretty.

  • 크고 [keu-go] means "big and.."
  • 예뻐요 [ye-ppeo-yo] means "pretty"

Conversation

  • A: 이 가방 어때요?
    What do you think of this bag?
  • B: 가방이 크고 멋있어요. [ga-bang-i keu-go meo-si-sseo-yo]
    The bag is large and cool.
  • A: 이 원피스 어때요?
    What do you think of this dress?
  • B: 원피스가 길고 예뻐요. [won-pi-seu-ga gil-go ye-ppeo-yo]
    The dress is long and pretty.
