How's the taste?
- 맛 [mat] means "taste"
- 어때요? [eo-ttae-yo?] means "How is it?"
짬뽕이 매워요. [jjam-ppong-i mae-wo-yo]
The jjamppong is spicy.
- 짬뽕이 [jjam-ppong-i] means "the jjamppong"
- 매워요 [mae-wo-yo] means "is spicy"
탕수육이 달아요. [tang-su-yu-gi da-ra-yo]
The tangsuyuk is sweet.
- 탕수육이 [tang-su-yu-gi] means "the tangsuyuk"

Taste adjectives:
- 맛있다 [ma-sit-da] taste good → 맛있어요 [ma-si-sseo-yo] It's good.
- 맵다 [maep-da] spicy → 매워요 [mae-wo-yo] It's spicy.
- 짜다 [jja-da] salty → 짜요 [jja-yo] It's salty.
- 달다 [dal-da] sweet → 달아요 [da-ra-yo] It's sweet.
- 싱겁다 [sing-geop-da] bland → 싱거워요 [sing-geo-wo-yo] It's bland.
- 쓰다 [sseu-da] bitter → 써요 [sseo-yo] It's bitter.
