Where do I get on?
- 어디에서 [eo-di-e-seo] means "at where"
- 타요? [ta-yo?] means "Do I get on?"
강남역에서 타요. [gang-nam-yeo-ge-seo ta-yo]
You get on at Gangnam Station.
- 강남역에서 [gang-nam-yeo-ge-seo] means "at Gangnam Station"
- 타요 [ta-yo] means "You get on."
Change 타요 to 갈아타요 to ask where to transfer:
어디에서 갈아타요? [eo-di-e-seo ga-ra-ta-yo?]
Where do I transfer?
- 어디에서 [eo-di-e-seo] means "where"
- 갈아타요? [ga-ra-ta-yo?] means "Do I transfer?"
잠실역에서 갈아타요. [jam-sil-ryeo-ge-seo ga-ra-ta-yo]
You transfer at Jamsil Station.

- 갈아타요 [ga-ra-ta-yo] means "You transfer."
More formal nouns referring to the act of boarding and transferring:
