집에서 뭐해요? [ji-be-seo mwo-hae-yo?]
What are you doing at home?

  • [jip] means “home”
  • 에서 [e-seo] means “at”
  • 뭐해요? [mwo-hae-yo?] means “What are you doing?”
  • Literally means “home, at, what are you doing?”

To answer this question, you simply attach the location words to 에서 [e-seo] and add a
아/어/여요 form verb.

에서 쉬어요. [ji-be-seo swi-eo-yo]
I’m getting some rest at home.

에서 공부해요. [ji-be-seo gong-bu-hae-yo]
I’m studying at home.

카페에서 숙제해요. [ka-pe-e-seo suk-je-hae-yo]
I’m doing my homework at the cafe.

Conversation

  • A: 카페에서 뭐해요?
    What do you do at the cafe?
  • B: 카페에서 숙제해요. [ka-pe-e-seo suk-je-hae-yo]
    I do my homework at the cafe.
  • B: 도서관에서 뭐해요? [do-seo-gwan-e-seo mwo-hae-yo?]
    What do you do at the library?
  • A: 도서관에서 일해요.
    I work at the library.
