Making Appointment with Friends

물을 마셔요. [mu-reul ma-syeo-yo]

• 물 [mul] means "water"
• 을 [eu-l] used to mark the 'object'
• 마셔요 [ma-syeo-yo] means "I drink"
• Literally means "water, I drink"

Attach the particle 을 or 를 to target a word.

When to use 을?
When the word ends in a consonant sound.

When to use 를?
When the word ends in a vowel sound.

친구를 [chingu-reul]

편지를 [pyeonji-reul]
