Verb (in て-form) + もらえますか [moraemasu ka]

The "verb" is the action you're asking someone to do.

もう一度言ってもらえますか [mōichido itte moraemasu ka]
Could you say it again, please?

  • もう一度 [mōichido] means "one more time"
  • 言って [itte] te-form of 言う "to say"
  • もらえますか [moraemasu ka] means "Could you...?"

荷物を預かってもらえますか [nimotsu o azukatte moraemasu ka]
Can you keep my luggage for me?

  • 荷物 [nimotsu] means "luggage"
  • 預かって [azukatte] te-form of 預かる "to keep (something) for someone"

  • A: 荷物を預かってもらえますか [nimotsu o azukatte moraemasu ka]
    Can you keep my luggage for me?
  • B: はい、かしこまりました
    Sure, understood.
