- Literally means "This day."
こんばんは [konbanwa]

(Greeting someone at night.)
ありがとうございます [arigatō gozaimasu]
Thank you
- ありがとう [arigatō] means "worthy of gratitude"
- ございます [gozaimasu] means "is"
- Literally means "It's worthy of gratitude."
ありがとう [arigatō] is a casual way to say "thank you"
